Interesting Information about Lincoln Park –

Lincoln Park is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Chicago and it is one of the most expensive communities to live in Chicago. Forbes magazine named the area between Armitage, Willow, Burling and Orchard as the most expensive block in Chicago in 2007.

• The original Ferris Wheel was located in an amusement park near Clark and Wrightwood from 1896 to 1903.

• During the 1968 Democratic National Convention, a violent confrontation between demonstrators and the police occurred in Lincoln Park, including the infamous Abbie Hoffman of the Chicago 7.
